High Performance in a Small Package Océ JetStream 1000
Taking center stage
in the Océ booth will be the new Océ JetStream 1000, the latest of the
company's JetStream family of inkjet printers. But understand this: the
Océ JetStream 1000 is not just another roll-fed inkjet print engine.
This is the only continuous feed inkjet system available today that can
print duplex pages within a single print engine and with a 30 percent
smaller footprint than most competitive machines. This means more
performance in less floor space and far more capabilities and
productivity than other competitive offerings and any machines it might
replace.
The compact size belies its performance: It can print
using up to six colors in a single pass while churning out 1,070
letter-size duplex pages per minute with a monthly duty cycle of up to
33 million impressions. Even more compelling for many printers, one of
these "colors" can be Océ's unique integrated MICR ink, enabling a host
of applications requiring the security only MICR provides. Its compact
size and ability to integrate MICR into color and monochrome documents
are persuasive advantages for print providers seeking a way to move up
to full-color inkjet without getting a system with too much capacity,
or one that takes up a lot of shop floor real estate.
All this
performance also enables exceptional versatility. Speeding off the Océ
JetStream 1000 at PRINT 09 will full color books, a newspaper, and
trans-promo applications with integrated MICR and CPSA-compliant
security features. There'll also be a survey containing a QR code,
giving attendees the option of completing the survey online. (Don't
know what a QR code is? Keep reading!)
With this new machine the
Océ JetStream family now ranges from 537 to more than 3,000 letter-size
pages per minute, and with MICR printing, delivers the broadest range
of inkjet color printing capabilities available today.
