Zebra Print Solutions Speed and Perfection are Expected
Zebra Print Solutions,
a North Carolina full-service print provider that specializes in rapid
turnaround of complex, high-volume marketing and training materials is
accustomed to fast turnarounds and the need for perfection. The service
portfolio includes design, pre-press, digital and offset printing,
bindery services, CD and DVD replication, archiving, variable data
printing, mailing and fulfillment, advertising specialty items and
customer printshop management.
Our clients consider one defect
in a thousand to be far too many," says Patrick DiLeonardo, President,
Zebra Print Solutions. "At the same time, many of our jobs must be
turned around in 24 hours or less,
Given the firms intense
focus on quality, accuracy and process efficiency, Zebra selected Océ
PRISMAprepare document preparation software to streamline job
definition, preparation and proofing, quickly make global changes to
complex jobs, and simplify tab production and updates.
With software, we can construct, define, proof and benchmark
an entire job ahead of time. So, when the client says go, all we have
to do is print, " explains DiLeonardo.
Océ PRISMAprepare
software is an all-in-one solution designed to speed up job
preparation, making it easy to perform prepress tasks like creating
booklets, impositioning, color splitting and merging, and adding trim
marks for complex jobs. Users can preview every step in the preparation
process on screen, eliminating the need for hard copy proofing, while
making it easy to assign media attributes, define tabs and tab
captions, create inserts, add blank pages and more at the click of a
mouse.
Zebra implemented Océ DPconvert software to convert a
huge library of Xerox RDO files, along with their DigiPath and Freeflow
Makeready job tickets into open-standard PDF file formats. This allows
them to open up their printing possibilities and migrate away from
proprietary data formats.
With Océ PRISMAprepare software,
Zebra has a comprehensive tool to streamline time-consuming manual
tasks and complete jobs in less time, at a lower cost, while
maintaining high quality standards, notes Eric de Goeijen, Vice
President, Product Marketing, Océ North America, Production Printing
Systems division.
Based on Adobe PDF technology, Océ
PRISMAprepare software recently received the Poligrafia exhibit Gold
Medal award. Océ PRISMAprepare software has already earned a number of
awards, including a 2008 Nielsen Norman Group award for the ten
best-designed applications in 2008 and an IF Design award for
usability.
High-speed digital duplex black & white printing Zebra
Print also needed new digital duplex printing systems capable of
handling growing volumes quickly, as well as the coated stock and
pre-punched media often required to produce complex training materials.
Two Océ VarioPrint 6200 digital duplex systems fit the bill. The
machines are part of the award-winning Océ VarioPrint 6000 family, the
worlds most productive digital duplex printing systems. "We are always
looking for ways to improve our client offerings by providing the most
advanced technologies," says CEO of Zebra Print Solutions, Charlotte
DiLeonardo.
