In the realm of production printing equipment,
"best" is not only about technology but how a printing system can be
used and what it can mean for the businesses that adopt it. This
measure was among the reasons industry analyst firm InfoTrends
recognized the new Océ CS Tandem family as Best of Show in the Color
Cut-Sheet Digital Printing Equipment category at this years On Demand
Conference & Exposition in Philadelphia. InfoTrends judges based
the award on the unique flexibility, consistent color quality and
production productivity the system provides. Delivering Quality The
new Océ CST family uses an EFI Fiery Central server to unite up to four
Océ CS665pro color printers, providing sophisticated color management
software, and validated color consistency to deliver color performance
in a single integrated system. EFI Fiery Central is a modular PDF-based
production workflow solution incorporating makeready, load balancing
and automated prepress workflow capabilities allowing print operators
to process more jobs in less time with less waste. The centralized
workflow improves productivity and accelerates turnaround by providing
enhanced visibility and control, intelligent job routing and reliable
error recovery. Users can manage a group of printers from a single
workstation without sacrificing output quality. Jobs can reliably be
split across the four machines, all of which can run at full-rated
speed. Available in multi-engine Océ CS130Tpro, Océ CS195Tpro and Océ
CS260Tpro configurations, the production speeds range from 130, 195 and
260 ppm, respectively. In addition, the Océ CS family is the first
production color platform to be designated a FograCert Validation
Printing System based on ISO 12647 part 7, a third-party validation
that documents predictable, consistent and measurable quality.
These
award-winning color systems scaleable, allowing customers to invest in
just what they require for todays opportunities, yet have a clear
migration path to additional capacity. The unique configuration of
these systems also provides built-in redundancy, which is critical for
print operations that cant afford downtime.
Flexibility & Productivity Océ
CS Tandem flexibility and productivity come from being able to use two,
three or four identical printers individually or in any combination.
Consider
a
moderate size quick printer or a busy in-plant print operation. When
monthly volume levels can't justify investing in a high-end
digital color press like the , many such shops
meet their color printing needs with mid-range color printers. These
are often augmented with outsourcing to meet demanding production
schedules. Even when a second color device is available, splitting a
job across two machines is not an option because of the difficulties in
managing color. Tandem technology provides a way to increase
productivity and keep the outsourced jobs in-house.
EFI Fiery Central workflow solution and the Océ CS130T are available immediately.
