Innovation on the Wide Side
Powerful and profitable solutions

In the wide format area of the exhibit, Océ Wide Format Printing Systems will showcase two innovative solutions for display graphics and technical document applications. The new Océ Arizona® 550 GT UV-curable flatbed printer, the Océ ProCut 2500 XL digital cutting system and the Océ ColorWave® 600 system, using its revolutionary solid toner Océ CrystalPoint™ technology will each running on the show floor, demonstrating the productivity that makes these systems both powerful and profitable.

First up is the new Océ Arizona® 550 GT UV-curable flatbed printer, the fastest member of the award-winning Océ Arizona Series. With the highest quality in the market, it easily handles peak demand for rush jobs and offers much better value than comparable systems. Featuring a production print mode of up to 433 square feet per hour on rigid media, users can print more than 100 four-by-eight-foot boards in a single eight-hour shift. An Express print mode will also be available with print speeds of up to 721 square feet per hour, or 22 four-by-eight-foot boards per hour, nearly three times higher than the fastest print speed available on the previously-released Océ Arizona 350 GT printer. Designed as a true flatbed system, the Océ Arizona 550 GT printer can print on a wide variety of rigid substrates up to 49.2 by 98.4 inches in area and up to two inches thick. But because rigid materials aren't the only choice for wide format printing, the Arizona 550 GT offers a Roll Media Option for printing onto flexible media up to 86.6 inches wide. The system also offers a White Ink Option for printing onto non-white media or objects and onto transparent media to create stunning backlit images.
Next up is the Océ ProCut™ 2500L digital cutting system, which will be shown alongside the Arizona 550 GT printer for automated finishing of rigid and roll-based wide format prints. This complete system of hardware, software, consulting and service reduces labor and materials costs in the finishing stage, while enabling customers to maintain high productivity levels and increase profit margins. It also opens the door to new business opportunities for small- and medium-sized businesses, enabling them to offer a wider range of services to their clients.

Not all jobs need the size of the Arizona line, so the the acclaimed Océ ColorWave 600 will be shown printing complex color maps, typical of today’s numerous geographic information system (GIS) applications. In addition, the Océ ColorWave 600 will be shown with Posterizer™ software,  an easy-to-use, fully integrated Point of Purchase (POP)  signage solution.

Print-for-pay firms can offer retailers a cost-effective, fast turnaround option for short-term, disposable signage that enhances in-store marketing and merchandising. The Océ ColorWave 600 printer requires no drying time and prints on uncoated media, so even high-color-coverage posters and signage can be handled immediately with print costs kept low.
