Océ ColorStream 9000 Provides New High-Volume Color Solutions More choices for flexibility and growth
The
Océ ColorStream 10000 that services the graphic arts market has been
joined by the ColorStream 9000 which offers a high level of flexibility
and productivity for transaction, trans-promo and direct mail
applications. Print providers can launch their full-color capabilities
with a cost-effective ColorStream 9000 system and field upgrade to
higher print quality with the Océ ColorStream 10000 model as business
needs require.
"Up to now, our portfolio consisted of two
product lines offering full color, but targeting different market
segments," explains Crit Driessen, Vice President Marketing and
Strategy, Océ Production Printing. "The Océ VarioStream 9000 series was
designed mainly for transactional applications, while the Océ
ColorStream 10000 full-color system focused on graphic arts. The
introduction of the Océ ColorStream 9000 series and the focus of the
Océ VarioStream family on high-speed black and white output will help
customers easily identify the Océ solution that best meets their
current needs while planning for future requirements."
Configurable
with up to five colors, an Océ ColorStream system can power through
over five million full-color images a month. Speeds range from 172
letter-size full color images per minute (ipm) to 852 ipm for
black-only pages. It also accommodates jobs that mix color and
monochrome pages, providing the flexibility many printers require. When
needed, a fifth color station can add a spot color in addition to
full-color. The Océ ColorStream 9000 changes speeds automatically
within an application. This lets customers take advantage of Océ's Job
Appropriate Color approach and choose the configuration and output
quality best suited to the job while enjoying dynamic pricing that
enables color and monochrome pages to be charged at their respective
costs.
All Océ ColorStream 9000 models are field-upgradeable not
only across the ColorStream 9000 family, but also to an Océ ColorStream
10000 system. The Océ ColorStream 9000 models are available and come
ready for the full color upgrade whenever customers need to expand
their color capabilities.
The very first Océ ColorStream 9000 model was recently installed in Hungary in January 2009.
