Fast, Compact & Flexible Océ JetStream 500 and 1000
The
speed and productivity of the Océ JetStream family that made it ideal
for ultra-high volume applications is now available for print shops
with more moderate requirements. The simplex Océ JetStream 500 and
duplex Océ JetStream1000 systems now bring JetStream technology and
productivity to users with monthly print volumes of up to 20 million
impressions.
The new Océ JetStream 500 and Océ JetStream 1000
engines are the most flexible full color web presses available for
transaction, direct mail and trans-promo applications. Compact and
full-featured, these systems are the first inkjet systems to offer
full-width duplex in a single cabinet that is up to 60%smaller than
competing systems. This lets customers enter the production color arena
without a major impact on floor space. The JetStream 500 model prints
approximately 505 A4 (535 letter) images per minute at 600x600 dpi,
while the duplex JetStream 1000 delivers up to 1,010 A4 (1,070 letter)
images per minute.
Because the migration to full color takes
time, customers can begin with black-only simplex printing and field
upgrade to full color and up to six colors, including fully integrated
MICR printing for more flexibility than any other inkjet engine. The
MICR capability allows printing of convenience and full-color checks
with complete reliability, security and error recovery.
With
these three new models, the Océ JetStream family represents the most
consistent and complete ink jet product line in the industry,
addressing the market requirements of an expanding base of users. The
Océ JetStream 2800 system will be available for shipment by early 2010,
while JetStream 500 and 1000 systems are planned for the end of 2009
with general availability in early 2010.
